Ballarini Parma Plus Aluminum Nonstick Fry Pan
Our Parma Plus fry pan brings professional-grade nonstick performance to your everyday cooking. Built from forged aluminum with our proprietary Granitium Ti-X coating, this pan delivers reliable food release and even heat distribution across the entire cooking surface. The mineral-reinforced nonstick interior stands up to metal utensils while maintaining PFOA-free safety standards.

The Ballarini Parma Plus uses our advanced Granitium Ti-X coating system, which incorporates mineral particles directly into the nonstick layers. This reinforcement creates a harder, more scratch-resistant surface compared to traditional nonstick coatings. We apply the coating in multiple layers to ensure long-term adhesion to the aluminum base.

Forged Aluminum Construction & Heat Performance
We manufacture the Parma Plus from a single piece of forged aluminum rather than stamped or pressed metal. This forging process compresses the aluminum structure, creating a denser material that conducts heat more uniformly. The pan’s thickness varies strategically — slightly heavier at the base for heat retention, tapered toward the sides for easy maneuverability.
The aluminum core responds quickly to temperature adjustments on your cooktop. When you reduce heat, the pan cools faster than cast iron or stainless steel, giving you precise control over delicate cooking tasks. The same forged aluminum foundation we use across our frying pan collection ensures consistent performance whether you’re cooking on gas, electric, or ceramic surfaces.

Handle Design & Oven Compatibility
Ergonomic Silicone Handle
We shaped the Parma Plus handle with a slight upward angle to keep your wrist in a neutral position during extended cooking sessions. The silicone exterior remains cool to the touch on the stovetop, eliminating the need for pot holders during typical frying and sautéing. The handle attaches to the pan body with rivets that sit flush against the interior cooking surface.
Stovetop-to-Oven Versatility
The entire pan, including the silicone handle, withstands oven temperatures up to 400°F. This capability lets you start dishes on the stovetop and finish them under the broiler or in the oven without transferring to another vessel. The temperature limit protects the silicone from degradation while covering the full range of most baking and roasting recipes.

Common Questions About the Parma Plus Fry Pan
The Parma Plus is designed for gas, electric, and ceramic cooktops but is not induction-compatible. The aluminum construction does not contain the magnetic properties required for induction heating. If you need induction compatibility, our Modena Tri-Ply line features a stainless steel exterior that works with all cooktop types including induction.
We recommend using small amounts of butter, oil, or other liquid fats rather than aerosol cooking sprays. Many sprays contain additives like lecithin that can build up on nonstick surfaces over time, creating a sticky residue that reduces performance. A light coating of olive oil or vegetable oil applied with a paper towel provides better results and helps the coating last longer.
The Parma Plus features our upgraded Granitium Ti-X coating with enhanced mineral reinforcement, making it more scratch-resistant than the standard Parma model. Both share the same forged aluminum construction and handle design, but the Plus version offers improved durability for households that cook frequently or prefer using metal utensils. The standard Parma provides excellent performance at a lower price point.
The entire pan including the silicone handle is oven-safe up to 400°F. This temperature range covers most baking, roasting, and broiling tasks. Exceeding 400°F may cause the silicone handle to degrade over time. For recipes requiring higher oven temperatures, allow the pan to cool briefly before placing it in a preheated oven above the recommended limit.
Our Granitium Ti-X coating is completely PFOA-free and meets strict European and North American safety standards for cookware materials. The coating uses mineral-reinforced polymers that are safe for food contact at typical cooking temperatures. We manufacture all Ballarini cookware in Italy under rigorous quality control protocols.
With proper care — hand washing, avoiding empty preheating, and using low to medium heat — the Granitium coating maintains excellent nonstick performance for three to five years of daily cooking. Factors like heat intensity, utensil type, and cleaning methods affect longevity. We’ve tested the coating through over 3,000 cooking cycles in our lab to ensure durability. If you notice food beginning to stick or visible coating wear, it’s time to replace the pan.
Yes, but we recommend placing a soft cloth, paper towel, or pan protector between the Parma Plus and any cookware stacked on top of it. This prevents the bottom of the upper pan from scratching the nonstick interior surface during storage. Stacking without protection can cause minor abrasions that reduce nonstick performance over time.
